Match the powder to its function.

Catalyst chemistry, diamond-tool matrices, soft magnetic components and surface repair require different powder characteristics. Start with the application, then compare the relevant specifications.

Diamond catalyst powdersFe-Ni and Fe-Ni-Co compositions.
Diamond-tool prealloy powdersFe-Cu compositions for matrix review.
Soft magnetic powdersGas-atomized Fe-Si compositions.
Surface repair and coatingGrades for laser cladding and plasma surfacing.

For ultra-fine, micro-superfine or carbonyl iron powder, send the application, target distribution, morphology and purity. Grade and particle requirements are confirmed through enquiry.

Product specifications

Product specification limits; actual batch results are provided in the shipment COA.

Bal. / Bal / Balance means the balance of the stated composition or size distribution. “Not specified” marks an empty or unlisted field. A dash (-) is retained from the specification and does not mean zero.

Diamond catalyst powders · 2 grades

The catalyst range includes Fe-Ni and Fe-Ni-Co compositions with a −500 mesh specification. Compare the nickel and cobalt requirements with your catalyst process; these grades form a separate family from the Fe-Cu prealloy powders for diamond tools.

Discuss custom production requirements with the technical team, including composition, particle size and the intended process.

Select the process for the powder function.

Functional powders cover different chemistries and applications. The catalogue does not assign one universal manufacturing flow to every functional or fine-powder grade.

Grade and application review

These are qualification steps, not a manufacturing process diagram.

  1. Define the intended function and application.
  2. Agree chemistry, particle profile and other material requirements.
  3. Confirm the production route for the selected grade.
  4. Agree trial conditions, acceptance criteria and batch evidence.

Agree the specification and application test.

Use the listed chemistry and powder properties to shortlist a grade, then agree the application test and acceptance requirements. Actual batch results are provided in the shipment COA.
